Keep Trying

A few months ago I was standing in a parking lot with two friends have a quick chat after a meeting one night. One of my friends had just launched a venture in which he was marketing an alcoholic cooler beverage. The other friend who is a very accomplished businessman in his own right said to him that the most important aspect to success is persistent and constant effort. And he's absolutely right.
Just imagine you are renovating a house. At the beginning you'll be full of gusto. Then a few weeks later when the work has become exhausting and tedious, you'll want to slack off. It happens again and again. You'll beat yourself up over it and gain renewed enthusiasm for your goal and work diligently again for a while. The vicious cycle continues over and over taking one step forward and three steps back.
A lot of people do this. It's one of the main reasons people never achieve success. Consistency. You can't give up half way and expect to start where you left off. Well, not most of us. You have to keep on trying and stick it out even when you don't want to. Depends on how bad you want your goal or not. No matter who you tell, you can't lie to yourself. Nobody is with your thoughts 24/7 a day. Only you are. So in the end you're not cheating anyone else but yourself. If it's important to you, it's worth doing.
You may not have all the answers. You may have failed at certain things. That's okay and perfectly normal. All these experiences teaches you to hone your skills, refine your direction, and inspire you to work smarter not harder.
I am blown away how so many people I know would never think of missing a day of work, but will throw their own interests under the bus because they're too tired or whatever reason they can come up with. Each day you spend working for someone else is a day you spend making another person's dream come true. I don't know. To me that sounds CRAZY!
If there is a dream inside you that you want to live I'm here to tell you to keep trying. Never stop. Find a way. It takes perseverance. It takes discipline. Nothing will every come without risk. Aren't you worth it? I think you are. No matter what anyone may say to you, just keep on trying. You've got NOTHING to lose.

Think And Grow Rich Secret - Exposed!

Well, after reading this book for a second time I realized that there was one chapter in particular that clearly highlighted what the secret was. The reason that most people fail to recognize it is because they're looking for something more profound and lucrative.
So what is the secret to success that's hidden within the chapters of Think and Grow Rich?
Let's start by examining Chapter 2, especially since Napoleon Hill mentioned that his own son identified the secret after reading this particular chapter. Chapter 2 is about Desire: The Turning Point of All Achievement. In it's simplest form, Napoleon Hill shared his secret to success by stating the following:
The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six defnite, practical steps...
1. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say "I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definite-ness which will be described in a subsequent chapter.)
2. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing.)
3. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
4. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
5. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
6. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ-SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.
The items listed above by Napoleon Hill are quite self-explanatory, hence why I've decided to not go through each item individually. Instead, I would rather spend some time elaborating on item # 6, especially since he emphasized this last statement with uppercase letters.
In essence, success begins with behavior and attitude. Not only must people see it and feel it but also truly believe in the attainment of their goals. In addition, people must also realize that there's nothing wrong, or unholy, about becoming rich and that achieving wealth and abundance is possible for anyone with the right mindset.
Please note that the reason he emphasized the last statement in uppercase letters is because of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). In modern NLP terms, there are three representational systems: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Through NLP, people could impress their goals into their subconscious mind in an effort to call forth the necessary PLAN's and ACTION's that'll propel you to achieve your dreams in life.
Noticed that I've emphasized and underlined both words above because I truly believe that most people fail to realize their goals in life because of their lack of planning and action. Instead of being proactive and taking the necessary steps to achieving their goals, these individuals only dream of what they could become all day long without putting in the effort.
Remember, the difference between who you are and who you want to be... is what you do!
With this in mind, the importance of staying in motion and taking action daily towards achieving your goals must not be understated. Regardless if it's small or big steps, just make sure that you're taking steps daily to realizing your dreams. If you commit to doing this repeatedly, success will surely follow and you'll eventually reach your destination. When you do, you'll recognize that you've found the secret to success. By repeating and refining this process, you can achieve anything you want in life!!

Clear Thinking - Are You Doing It Wrong?

'Clear thinking requires courage rather than intelligence' - Thomas Szasz
When was the last time you were reading a book and after finishing a page had absolutely no idea what you were reading about? Since we juggle so much in today's lifestyle, multitasking our way through each day, that our ability to concentrate and hence think clearly has drastically reduced.
We now live in an era where most of us have the 'YouTube Attention Span', where a 10 minutes-long video makes us go "What 10 minutes!" And the direct influence is on our ability to think, simply because the more alert and observant your mind is the clearer your thoughts are going to be.
Why is clear thinking so important anyway?
Humans do not just live by instinct, our ability to think rationally and make decisions based on our perception is what differentiates us from animals. Clear thinking is important in everything we do. It is the very basis on which our life depends, if you think clearly, you can easily perceive problems and devise solutions to tackle them. Additionally, you are in much better position to make important life decisions pertaining to health, career, relationships, and your overall being.
Only a mind that can think clearly and critically can succeed. See, it is no rocket science, success isn't accidental; it is actually the result of hard work and decisions made at the right time. A clear thinker will possess the right frame of mine to be able to take decisions that favors them and make them successful simply because there is no doubt or guesswork involved. They know what they are doing and they are mostly aware of the consequences too.
At this juncture, you may ask 'Is the ability to think clearly in-born or it can be acquired?'
Like all abilities, the habit of thinking clearly can be developed with the right technique and practice. It is more of a skill that helps us to gain knowledge, sharpen perception, and take the right decisions. Before I talk about how you can become a clear thinker yourself, here's a little more information on what exactly is clear thinking.
Clear thinking isn't just about being able to take a decision in an instant, it basically is a logical analysis of events and ideas that includes taking into consideration hypothesis, evaluation of the consequences, the pros and cons and the ability to judge the final decision to be correct or not.
Please don't think that clear thinking is some magic tool that helps to take the right decision at the click of a finger. It takes time and effort to get into the habit of clear thinking, for the first few times you might feel taxed but with time it would become more of a natural habit.
How do you become a clear thinker?
The change does not come overnight, and admittedly, there were times when I wanted to give up too but hold on, I promise the reward is going to be amazing!
To start with, I tried to first clean the physical mess around me. I cleaned up my work desk first thing, noticed how when you have a cluttered desk you feel all the more stressed and overworked?
Write down about the most important areas of your life- be it health, relationship, success, attitude, or even a hobby. Now beside each area write down what your beliefs are with regards to the particular area, your fears, your strength, your weaknesses, and how do you perceive this area of your life would be tomorrow?
Once you have the points written down, deal with one area at once. Take your time to carefully scrutinize each point in detail, is that belief of yours justified, is it correct, what about your weaknesses, can you work on them and if yes, are you ready to work on them. This is going to be lengthy, take your time, in fact take as long as you want but once you are completely done with an area you should be thoroughly satisfied.
I felt that the biggest deterrent to clear thinking is the various random thoughts that cloud your judgment. Once you reach self-awareness, you know who you are and how you react, it then becomes fairly easy to think clearly and critically.
Another important step is to meditate regularly. I sit in meditation for almost an hour on regular basis to purge my mind of negative as well as irrelevant thoughts. A calm and placid mind can observe and perceive better rather than a 'charged' up one.
Always remember 'Clear thinking requires courage rather than intelligence' - Thomas Szasz
What are the problems you have faced while trying to think clearly or how different your life would have been if you would have taken certain decisions after clearly and critically thinking it out? Do let me know in the comment's section below

Can Anyone Become A Successful Business Person?

Can anyone become a successful businessperson? I am asked this question many times after I have given a speech on business procedures and strategies. The answer is not that simple.
Before we get to the answer, let me ask you a question. Can anyone become a successful medical doctor? To become a doctor, there are several very important factors that have to be given a lot of careful thought and consideration.
First, you have to be interested in the field of medicine. Then develop a passion for this profession - find out all you can, do plenty of research and get professional advice.
Once you have made your firm decision, you have to go to medical school and learn from the work of those who have researched, developed and established the field of medicine through trial and error.
When you graduate from medical school, you have another very important decision to make. Are you going to specialize in any particular field of medicine like cardiology, gynecology, anesthesiology or any other particular area of medicine.
If you decide to specialize, you will have to go back to school and qualify in your chosen field.
After you graduate, you will have to serve an internship either at a hospital or with a specialist in your field who might decide to take you under his or her wing and give you some hands on practical experience under supervision.
Then you will be ready to venture out on your own. You can set up your own office or join a group of doctors who work from one office.
Some doctors, after graduating from medical college and having served an internship, decide to go into general practise. General practitioners, who usually act as "Family Doctors" examine patients and refer them to specialists to deal with a particular medical problem.
For example, a person with a heart problem will be referred to a cardiologist; a person with a skin problem to a dermatologist and so on.
Becoming a medical doctor is not easy. You have to be interested in the field of medicine, develop a passion, be dedicated, educate yourself, get the proper training and work at it passionately on a consistent basis.
Since new discoveries are being made in the field of medicine constantly by researchers and other scientists, everyone in the medical profession has to keep up with all the new developments.
I have never heard of any doctor who has gone through all the education, training, internship etc. failing in this profession. There are those who might change course. For example, a general practitioner might decide to go into research.
But doctors never fail to be doctors unless they give up or retire. Doctors take their profession very seriously and succeed always. There is no such thing as failure in the medical profession.
Now to get to the question, "Can anyone become a successful medical doctor?" The answer is "Yes! Anyone who really wants to can become a successful medical doctor."
The key words here are, "Anyone who really wants to."
Let us get back to our original question. "Can anyone become a successful business person?" The answer is, "Yes! Anyone who really wants to, can become a successful business person."
To become a successful business person, you will have to make several important choices. choices like,
1) What type of business do you want to get into? 2) Are you passionate about the field you have chosen? 3) Are you willing to devote enough time and energy to your business? 4) Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed? 5) Are you willing to stick to it till you succeed?
Then you have to research your field of interest, educate yourself, get the proper training, lay the foundation and work at it consistently. If you do everything properly, success is inevitable. Ask any successful business person and he or she will tell you what they had to go through to achieve success.
A business should be taken seriously and treated like a profession, not as a hobby. Then with the correct, persistent action taken on a daily basis, you are sure to succeed. There is no doubt about it.
Those who do not succeed in business are the ones who are looking for "An easy way to make money." These are the same people who buy lottery tickets and hope to strike it rich overnight. According to statistics, the chances of a person winning a lottery is one in 168 million.
But the chances of succeeding in a business, if done in the proper way is 100%. There is no "Easy way" to make money in any business. Passion, dedication, knowledge, education, hard work are all necessary ingredients. Once you get started and get some experience under your belt, things will become easier and easier.
Yes! Anyone who really wants to, can become a successful business person and make a living or even become very rich. Lots of people who have followed the correct path have succeeded in business and are continuing to do so. "Everyone wants to succeed but few are willing to pay the price."
You can become a successful business person "If You Really Want To.

The Top 5 Things That Keep You From Success

Everyone wants to be rich. A lot of people want to be successful. Yet, only a few people are willing to pay the price. There is a price to success as there is a price to failure. Here are 5 reasons that keep people from accomplishing their dreams.
A lack of motivation. Success comes from loving what you do. Is your current job your passion? When your study highly successful people, you understand that they have at least 1 thing in common: they love what they do and they do what they love. Is this the case for you? If the answer is no, you can start by identifying your passion. This is the best way to get motivated.
A lack of faith. Faith is a firm belief in yourself, God or others that you can do it. Build up a strong vision of what you want to accomplish. In developing a vision, the law of attraction is going to work for you. You are going to attract people, opportunities and money that will allow you to develop an unstoppable confidence.
The fear of failure. The fear of failure doesn't exist. Neither does the fear of success. Fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Micheal Jordan said himself that "Fear is an illusion". It is hard to overcome fears. One simple way to overcome the fear of failure is to read inspirational stories and quotes of people that achieved their dreams. Read one every morning. That will give you strength and hope.
The wrong strategies. When you want to build a business, to achieve something really big, you need to have mentors. You can't allow yourself to loose time, money and energy. Mentors are people that will give you the right strategies; they will provide the right information and will inspire you. They will coach you through the process. Choose correctly your experts, your models. Work with them and adopt the same thinking patterns, the same strategies, the same beliefs. If he did it, you can do it too.
Limiting beliefs. Often times we have limiting beliefs about what we want to achieve. For example, you can really want to achieve a goal but at the same time something tells you: "It's not for you, you don't deserve that" or "You can't do it, remember". These thoughts pollute our minds and darken our life. A quick way to stop these damaging thoughts is to use the power to say no! First, represent in your mind the "limiting belief" and say NO! to it. Now, represent in your mind what you want in its place and say a big YES! You will be amazed how your attitude suddenly changed about the old belief. Can you remember it?
I have just shared with you strategies to overcome the TOP 5 things that prevent people from success. When you apply these recommendations, your life will be enriched. You deserve success because you are special and unique. Everyone of us is. The fact is that we are potential geniuses. But the other fact is that often we refuse to admit it because it pushes us out of our comfort zone and most people don't like that. Get out of your comfort zone; this is the only way to succeed in life.

What's Your Personal Purpose

The question of purpose came up for me several times last week. I attended a motivational speakers evening where there were six speakers who had 10 minutes to express a lesson they learned that impacted who they are today. Two of the speakers and the host for the evening made reference to what's your purpose. The topic of purpose also came up in a business meeting just yesterday. This all gave cause for me to review my written personal purpose that I will revel later in this article.
If money is on top of your goal list that's something you may wish to reflect upon. The question I ask what's the money for? Is it life style? Taking your family to Disney World? Buying a boat or an RV often appears on a list of goals. These are all things we want to have. Things we can do with our families. I believe that money provides you the choices to do what you want and who you spend that time with in your non working time. That's the real goal as I see it. Going through this exercise determines the nuts and the bolts of what you want. It will bring you closer to finding your purpose.
The bigger question remains why you want these goals and what is your purpose in life. My take on personal purpose is what moves you to be who you are and how do you want the world to look at you. Yes, in many cases we do it because it makes us feel good. I send it back again. Why does it make us feel good. My first go around on writing a personal purpose was five years ago after reading Jack Canfield's " The Success Principals". Jack was insistent that you will not lead a truly happy and successful life until you discovered your purpose. So I began the process. I did some research on how to begin and how it should be worded so it spoke to who I am. It was not until a year later that I got it fine tuned to this.
"My Personal Purpose is to be a role model of giving, love, wisdom, credibility, learning, happiness and joy that will inspire my family, friends, customers and associates."
That's it. It seems simple but it took allot of time to get the words just right that speaks to who I believe I am. We all want love and respect. Love and respect can come from a variety of areas and that is why I chose to broaden my personal purpose to include family and my business life. I believe your Personal Purpose should speak to who you are 24 hours a day. Enjoy the journey of writing your personal purpose. You will be glad you did.

Abundance and Prosperity are an Inside Job!

You have a definite desire for abundance and prosperity in your life, right? Most of you immediately think of money and the good things it can buy, making the greenbacks your primary definition of abundance and prosperity. While a wad of bills stuffing your wallet is a good thing, there is so much more to abundance and prosperity than money.
Abundance simply means there is more than enough. In this place there is no lack because lack means there isn't enough. Prosperity is more often linked with wealth, success, and the gaining of material acquisitions. We deserve to have all the good things we desire, but so often they seem to allude us. But the amazing part of this is the abundance and prosperity we want and deserve is sitting right there in front of us waiting for us to allow it in. There is more than enough for everyone, including you!
Having been brought up with the consciousness of lack - never enough; can't have all you want; be content with what you have; money is the root of all evil; must work hard for your dollars; you have limits; and other similar thought patterns - I only knew how to operate from lack. It's evident with statements such as: God gives us what we need; life is hard; most people live paycheck to paycheck; everyone has debt - it's the American way; money doesn't grow on trees; we can't seem to get ahead, we're on a tight budget, and I could go on and on. Therefore, with those thoughts the exact scenario keeps reappearing in our lives substantiating those thoughts.
This happens because our thoughts create the reality of our life. So my friends, if you are in a place of lack, you must face this fact - you have created it for your life! It's not your circumstances that have put you in the place you are, it's you, by your thoughts and subsequent actions, who have told the universe what you believe and have then brought the circumstances to you to back up the thoughts! That might be a hard pill to swallow, but it is a truth. "But," you say, "I want abundance and would never tell the universe to send lack." Ah! But you did when you were writing out your checks for the month and said "Where did all my money go again? Dang! I can't ever ahead."
People are good at gaining head knowledge; they learn the lingo. I did the same thing. How? By listening to audios or reading books on prosperity, sitting in seminars and lectures on abundance and prosperity, saying positive affirmations all through the day about prosperity, visualizing my life as I wanted it to be with prosperity and abundance flowing, and even scripting my life so I could continually read what my desires are. Perhaps you've tried these things and are still living a life that is far from prosperous, still experiencing lack.
The first of March, 2005, I was in a complaining state, asking why I couldn't get things moving more in my business and why I couldn't get a generous flow of money into my life. It seemed to continually ebb and flow. Feeling upset, I decided to meditate. (Funny how we find the time to be instead of do when things aren't going the way we want!) I was also in the process of selling my home in the belief I needed to downsize due to my financial status quo. I stated my complaints, mentioning how hard I was trying and didn't understand why it wasn't working the way I visualized. A few tears later, I got quiet. I felt warmth spread over me like an
embrace of tremendous love and a marvelous peace enveloped me. I seemed to be floating far away somewhere. Then a gentle voice softly said, "Why do you think you must downsize? You have unlimited abundance around you. Can you not see? Look around you. It is surrounding you even now. You are free to upsize; it's up to you!"
An amazing thing happened. I actually knew my abundance for the first time in my life. My thoughts moved in a different direction and I remembered my present home which had served me well, my five children, my health, my friends, my clients, my abilities and even the challenges that had gotten me to the present moment; the abundance that encircled me was beyond measure. I realized at that aha moment that I already had everything I needed, that I was rich! I had finally gotten it! I had been blocking the flow of more since I didn't recognize the abundance already in my life.
Whatever you focus on is what shows up in your life. By focusing on what I considered lack, what I perceived I didn't have or wasn't working, I continually created more lack experiences. But if I focused on the abundance I already had, more would show up. And it did! The big switch to abundance was through my heart. It was no longer just head knowledge; it became heart knowledge that spoke truth from within me. Yes, I did upsize my home and it still amazes me to this day how it all unfolded. I did nothing. Did you understand what I just said? I did nothing! What happened was I internalized the knowing of my abundance and the floodgates opened allowing more abundance to flow into my life. The same can be true for you.
What is your life pattern at this very moment? Still in lack and struggle? My friend, the stakes are way too high to remain in this 'don't have enough' consciousness, because if you do you'll continue to create similar situations as you have already experienced. Make the choice today to shift your internal consciousness to one of abundance and watch the prosperity flow to you effortlessly.
I'm going to close with this quote from someone who shows the way it works as a most glorious example of abundance and prosperity imaginable. Oprah Winfrey said, "I live in the space of thankfulness - and I have been rewarded a million times over for it. I started out giving thanks for the small things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased. That's because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life."
So abundance and prosperity, although they certainly include money, also include everything and everyone in your life, and they go hand in hand with the most powerful tool of empowerment you can have - gratitude! Abundance thoughts become your way of life; it becomes what you truly believe. Look at your life. It is your choice as to what you see! Be grateful for all you have and are and watch it expand and stretch into so much more. Then simply open your hands to receive the bounty.
And so it is...

What Money Worries? Find Out Which Meditation to Attract Money Works for You

More and more people are using meditation to attract money, and it's no wonder. The economy has seen its better days, so money worries are on the rise, but people have been experiencing financial stress for as long as currency has existed! When left unattended to, these cash-related woes can cause intense anxiety and keep us from enjoying life. After all, it's hard to smile when you're working yourself to death to make ends meet-if you're lucky to have a job at all, that is! No matter what your current financial situation is, though, you can free yourself from these debilitating worries. Meditation is free, so there's no excuse not to take advantage of what may very well prove to be the solution you've been looking for. The first step is to find out which meditation to attract money works for you. Consider these three basic techniques.
Visualization Meditation to Attract Money
If you've meditated before, then you know the basic idea behind visualization-that is, to create an image or series of images in your mind's eye with the intention of bringing about certain emotions. A visualization meditation to attract money consists of wealth-related images designed to provoke feelings of joy, confidence, and gratitude. These positive feelings related to money can replace some of the fears and negative emotions that prevent many people from achieving the financial success they so desperately want!
Affirmation Meditation to Attract Money
Money is a great thing, right? Everyone wants it, so why do so many of us have negative beliefs and feelings about money? It's simple. Money is directly related to our survival, and many people link it to happiness as well, so it's natural (though not productive) to experience anxiety over it. Moreover, some of us have deep-seeded self-esteem issues that make us feel as if we don't deserve to be financially successful. That's why positive affirmations can make a big difference. Think of it as re-programming your brain to think positively about money, and thus attract and embrace it into your life. Make one or more of the following affirmations your mantra, and repeat it to yourself at regular intervals throughout the day:
  • I am a money magnet.
  • Wealth comes easily to me.
  • I deserve abundance in my life.
Of course, you can make up your own affirmation to attract money. Just make it short, memorable, and most importantly, positive!
Clearing Meditation to Attract Money
One of the most important types of meditation to attract money is the clearing meditation. Clearing meditations help you purge any and all of the false beliefs you have about money that are keeping you from attracting abundance. The idea is to conjure up thoughts and images of money and allow your mind to wander. As negative beliefs and wealth lies arise, you can practice watching these thoughts dissolve without responding to them and feeding them energy. Over time, these negative ideas about money will become subdued and eventually disappear, leaving you free to attract the wealth and abundance that you deserve.
Our society teaches us that to make money, you have to work hard. While there's some truth to that of course, there's also more to the equation. Sometimes, it's necessary to quiet your mind, evaluate your thoughts, and take control over your feelings about money, rather than letting them control you and your financial circumstances.
What meditations do you use to attract wealth? Let us hear from you in the comments section. And, be sure to spread the wealth by sharing this article with friends-there's plenty to go around!

How to Create More Success

I'm sure you have heard many times that "success starts with your mind" Well, it's true,
before you can change your life you MUST change your thinking. Now there are a number of reasons why changing and developing your thinking is important.
First of all by developing this type of thinking you will take control of your future.
Therefore success is totally controlled by you and not effected by external influences.
However, what I would like to do in the rest of this article is talk about three strategies in particular which you can immediately put into action to help you develop your business success.
So lets begin:
How to Create More Success.
Success Strategy No 1 - Find Yourself A Mentor
Almost all of the self-improvement experts out there today, agree that finding yourself an appropriate mentor is one of the most important decisions you will ever make in your life, not just in business, but personally as well. But don't think you can have only one either, I have many mentors in my life at the moment, including business mentors and personal development mentors.
The main idea behind this success strategy is to find someone that has the necessary knowledge and/or skills to advise and train you on developing a particular skillsets for your business, or mindset to help grow you as a person. This strategy is used by pretty much EVERY successful business person on the planet, so is a strategy that you should definitely use if you truly want business and personal success.
Success Strategy No 2 - Success Leaves Clues
This next step involves finding someone who has achieved the success you desire. The great personal development expert Tony Robbins says "The Best and most effective way to achieve success in your chosen field is to find somebody who is already achieving the success you want, find out what it is they do on a daily basis to achieve this success and then copy them".
Quite a simple strategy if you really think about it. Just make sure the successful person you copy is right for you. You can of course use the mentor you have found in strategy 1 for this as well. I have found that this is actually the best way to move forward in business and quite often the person I try to model is my mentor at the time.
Success Strategy No 3 - Self Evaluation is the Key
Knowing your own weaknesses is probably more important than knowing your strengths. The people who succeed in life almost always know their weaknesses, knowing your weaknesses can have a very positive impact on your business life especially, because it allows you to only concentrate on the things you are good at whilst ensuring that other people do the things you consider to be your weak points.
However discovering your weaknesses is not as easy as it sounds, because believe it or not, your own ego will get in your way. So it's more about becoming self-aware, and actually looking at yourself as you truly are.
Meditation is good for this, as it allows you to go inwards and discover who you really are. Typically, the ordinary person only sees a reflection of their body when the look in the mirror not their authentic self. So, if you find yourself challenged in this area, meditation is the way forward. I consistently practice meditation every day and can highly recommend that you do to.
But remember to use strategy No 1 and find yourself a meditation mentor to help you do this effectively.
How to Create More Success.
In Summary.
You will find that the most common word used by any mentors or teachers you choose to associate yourself with, will be "action". That is because the most common reason why people fail at anything is lack of action taking.
Now, there are all sorts of reasons that people use for not taking action; perhaps it is a lack of confidence, fear, etc. Worrying over failure instead of focusing on success, believing that they are not yet ready. You MUST begin where you are now, with whatever tools or knowledge you have now!
So Take Action! Take Action! Take Action!
If you truly want the major breakthroughs in life, that will help you to create more success you need to be able to work through the things that scare you both personally as well as professionally. You may well be scared beyond belief, but feeling the fear and doing it anyway by taking the appropriate action will help to propel you to stratospheric levels of success both personally and in your business.
I hope this helps you.

Affirmations - Essential for Success

Your mind is made up of two elements that interact in such a way as to control your behavior.
The first of these is your subconscious mind.
Your subconscious mind is that part that houses memories, the nervous system, emotions, and your most basic attitudes. It is from your subconscious mind that thoughts are sent which will eventually enable you to achieve your goals.
The conscious mind makes decisions, determines goals, and gathers knowledge for the purpose of taking some kind of action.
If the data in the subconscious mind complements conscious decisions and desires, action will occur. If however, the messages conflict, the "power" of the subconscious mind will cause conflict, procrastination, fear, and possibly avoidance of action.
A large percentage of our actions are automatic and instinctive. They are controlled by the attitudes and beliefs imprinted on the subconscious mind. Conversely, all input to the subconscious mind must come from the conscious, which is that part of you which controls behavior.
The relationship between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind can be seen in all kinds of people.
For example.
  • Have you ever heard someone telling himself or herself they were ill so much that they actually became ill?
  • Have you ever known someone who lied to themselves so often that they began to believe the lies?
These are both examples of the interaction between the subconscious and the conscious minds. In the first case, the individual's conscious mind told that they were ill. The subconscious (which is incapable of reasoning) accepted that data and through the nervous system, sent back signals that caused the person to feel illness. In the second case, the same process occurred.
Your success is tied to your action, your action to your attitude.
Thus, the "automatic guidance system" within you either operates as a success mechanism or failure mechanism.
It all depends on the goals you set for it.
Through the conscious use of affirmations we become able to program our subconscious mind so that it operates as a success mechanism and causes positive behavior and change towards the achievement of our goals.
The use of affirmations is designed fundamentally to get the subconscious working with us not against us -- to get our goal-striving mechanism to work for the achievement of our goals.
WHAT IS AN AFFIRMATION?
The best definition of an affirmation is: "telling yourself in times of doubt that which you know to be true at other times." More specifically, an affirmation is a positive statement in the first person singular which describes the you, you want to become.
The power of affirmations can best be recognized when we realize that the mind doesn't know the difference between real and imagined. For example, suppose you "imagine" late at night that there is a prowler in the house. Are you any less frightened than if you "knew" there was a prowler in the house? Certainly not. You are afraid because you imagine a fearful situation. The use of affirmations to build confidence applies to the same principle, but with a positive goal in mind.
Affirmations should have the following qualities:
1. Affirmations should be positive.
2. Affirmations should be in the first person singular.
3. Affirmations should be within the realm of your capacity to believe.
4. Affirmations should be directly related to your goals.
Below you will find some examples of affirmations. Try them on for size. If they feel good, use them; if not, write your own on 3 x 5 cards. Place them in locations where you spend a great deal of time (your office, car, bathroom mirror, etc.). Carry them with you. Develop a schedule for using them (first thing in the morning, last thing before you go to sleep, immediately after lunch, or just before you leave the office). They are good ways to keep your attitude up and your mind on your goals.
EXAMPLES OF AFFIRMATIONS
I am a master communicator.
I am a good listener.
I am the number one salesperson for my company.
I set daily goals and achieve them.
I am a leader.
I am empathetic.
I am an empathetic manager.
I am a results-oriented manager.
I am genuinely concerned about my employees and my company.

Two Small Words That Bring Success

There are certain phrases that get my attention and I find to be amusing. One such phrase is... "as if". I especially find it funny when someone does not believe what they are being told. The "as if" is equivalent to "yeah right".
As I learn more about maintaining a right mind and creating our own success, I realize more and more the importance of living with the "as if" mentality. What's your goal? What do you want most in life? One of the key ways to reach the goal and live the life you want to live is to act "as if" you actually have what you desire.
This philosophy can be used in all areas of life. Do you want to make a major impression at the job? Work and act as if you are already there. How would you work if you were recognized as a top employee? Seeking the ideal partner? How would you act as if he or she were with you right now? Seeking more money? What would you be doing if you had it? Spend time mentally focusing on the answers to these questions. Then act accordingly.
I have been especially focusing on the "as if" and I already see the impacts. There are things I have held back doing because I was waiting until I had the money, the energy, or the time. Shifting my thinking, I acted as if I already had those things. The result has been greater confidence and a more positive mindset. It has also positively impacted some other people around me due to the extra time I was able to give.
The key is not to spend money that you don't have, or wear yourself thin by doing too much. Instead, it is feeling, as often as possible, "as if" you are already living the life you desire, and doing things as if this was the case. It's a matter of using the Law of Attraction naturally to create the ideal life. This is because, according to the Law, the more you feel like you are living the life you desire, you already have what you want, and feel the corresponding positive emotions, the more likely and the more quickly you will see it manifest in your life.
Use these magic words as a guide to help create the life you are seeking. Live as if you already have what you want. Feel the corresponding emotions, and take the corresponding actions. Before long it will be natural, and your life will be at the higher level you desire. Instead of saying "as if" you will be saying "it's real". Enjoy the blessings!

To Be Successful in Life, Stop Learning From Mistakes

All of us want to be successful, but HOW is the question.
If we want to be successful then we should ignore this saying that states "LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES". The truth is if you keep learning from your mistakes, YOU WILL REMAIN A FAILURE. When you are trying to learn from mistakes, what are you focused on? It's quite obvious - FAILURES. How can we derive Success, when you are always thinking of failures and attracting thoughts related to failures?
I wonder when people say learn from your failures, how can you look at BAT and keep thinking of CAT, is that possible? NO! But we hear everyone saying to learn from failures, while doing so most of the time your mind keeps criticizing you for the mistakes you have done making your mind sick and body weak. Frankly speaking if you have to move forward then stop that thought. Tell me honestly when you think of failures do you feel charged or depressed? 100% depressed then in that case how can you move ahead positively when your mind is working in opposite direction. Mind is not like a train where you can place the engine on the back facing reverse and push the compartments forward. How can you move forward with your eyes on the back focusing on reverse direction, Impossible isn't it? You are looking at failures and asked to think of success.
The conclusion is that, if you want to move ahead just look at failures and tell yourself sarcastically "Man, how can I do such a foolish thing?" Leave it there, that's it. Your past failures are not the right kind of companions to carry with you. They will only drown and pull you down. The thoughts that we carry should be the ones that will wake up and make us act. Imagine you are running a 100 meters race and before starting the race, at the last moment if you visualize about you past race in which you failed then what could be your present performance instead if you visualize about a race that you won in your past and then start running in this, automatically your mind and body gets charged, Right?
So everybody who is reading this article and convincing yourself to learn from failures, I wish you "HAPPY FAILURE" and sad learning or stand tall to accept and say NO to failures even in thoughts, move ahead and stop thinking of what you lost, just think of what you want.

7 Strategies to Make Room For More Money

Laws of the Attraction notwithstanding, there are several external ways that you can make room for more money in your life.
Yes, there are those of you who can manifest whatever you want, whenever you want. This article is for those of you who may need just a few extra tools.
First, it is vital to create a space that can be filled with what you really want.
Start by going through your closets. Remove every article of clothing, shoes, and purses you have not worn in at least a year.
How do you know what to get rid of?
Use the following as a guide:
1. Use your intuition. Trust it.
2. Ask yourself if you love it.
3. Does it fit?
4. Do you use it?
5. Do you need it?
6. What memories does it bring up?
7. Again, use your intuition.
Take all of these clothes, shoes and purses to your local resale store. You will start receiving money immediately.
Bonus feature: The space you have created will now be filled with what you really want. Be patient.
Second, go through every drawer in your home and remove all the junk.
You know what junk is.
Plastic forks from takeout; rubber bands and plastic bags you are saving for some reason.
Men (and women!) go to the garage.
- How many screwdrivers do you really need?
- How many cans of old, unused paint are taking up space?
Clean out the garage and only put back in what you use.
Sell the rest at a garage sale or give to the Goodwill.
There, you have a tax credit as well as money.
Clean out your office desk. Throw away any document that is unnecessary.
I know, you are afraid you will throw something away you may need in the future.
Well, I understand.
This particular article you are reading was originally written in 1986. I did not throw it out. In 1986, I did not have a computer, so here we are. Boy, am I glad I saved this.
The information still holds up.
Okay, back on track.
Create as much order as possible in your home, garage and office. If you are a creative individual, this may be difficult as creative types are visual and like to see things. Make it work for you.
As you eliminate all this junk, you will start feeling a sense of satisfaction, accomplishment and freedom.
If you do not have these feelings, you are not yet ready to make room for money I your life.
Your desire and your feelings must be in alignment
You may also have feelings of fear and doubt. Learn to trust yourself and allow the process to work for you.
Third, sit down and make a list of all the people you do not have a great relationship with.
This list includes people you have judged, blamed or criticized. This same list includes people who have judged blamed or criticized you!
Visualize each individual, and, as you do, forgive them.
Forgiveness is one of the most important tools for making money in your life. Generate appreciation towards these individuals in order to heal yourself.
Eliminate grudges. Grudges contract the body, mind and spirit. Release and let go. Step by step, expansion is on the way.
Fourth, pay your bills on time. It is very important to keep your money agreements, so pay your bills graciously. If you avoid paying certain obligations because you have insufficient funds, or are displeased with the service of someone whom you owe money, use visualization.
Bring these people into your mind's eye. Allow your body to experience negative feelings you may be holding on to. Breathe deeply and look at your resistance. Generate appreciation and love towards these vendors.
You certainly were grateful when you used the card, so bring back that gratitude!
Keep breathing until all discomfort is released; until you can visualize this person with little emotion or reaction.
If you do not currently have the money for a specific obligation, phone the vendor and explain the situation.
Remember, it is only temporary!
Even the U.S. government will negotiate.
Fifth, act as if you have all the money you want. Notice, I use the word 'want', as opposed to 'need'. You have all that you need. In order to attract what you want --the Universal Law of Attraction says it is already there, but the rational mind sometimes butts in-- you must act as if you have all you want.
If you had all the money you wanted, what would you be doing for work, if anything? If you are not doing what you love, what brings you joy, money may appear as a slow leak, instead of a gusher.
Present as prosperous a picture as possible. That does not mean you have to spend money.
• Appropriate grooming is cheap.
• Smile more often.
• Indulge yourself with long luxurious baths.
• Create a candle light dinner, even if for one person.
• Look in the mirror and say, " Hey, I like you!."
These simple tools will help you feel and look better. The Universe will look at you and say, "Alright, you've got it! Let's give you a little more."
Sixth, give some money away. Give away what you want more of - it really works. Tithe clothing items in lieu of money if that feels better. Don't purchase anything new unless you eliminate one item form your home or office.
Give willingly and unconditionally, without expecting to receive anything in return.
Do it because you can.
Seven, call up your parents. Tell them you love all they have done for you. If you cannot get as far as the love word, express your appreciation. Let them know how you feel in a positive way. If your parents have passed on, write them a letter telling them about all the things and circumstances you appreciated them for but never had the chance to share.
They will see this letter, no matter where they are.
Remember, the Law of Attractions is powerful. It provides you with whatever you think about, both wanted and unwanted.
Let these seven strategies help you think more clearly about how to make room for money in your life.

Vision -- What Are You Doing Today Towards Achieving Your Vision?

Every man who accomplishes things sees first in his mind what he wishes to do. He puts away all doubt. It makes no difference how small or how large the thing you want to do may be; if you have an unlimited confidence in your ability to do it, you will do it. - Charles Fillmore
By definition, vision is a future orientation, a broad stroke picture that serves as the basis for making decisions or taking actions towards achieving the vision. In order for a vision to become a reality, there are certain elements that must be present.
Most importantly, the vision must be anchored in truth. If there is no or little truth, the vision will not be obtainable. For example: If a client says that she wants to be an opera singer despite the fact that she truly can't sing--can't carry a tune, has no pitch, etc. it's not impossible for her to achieve some level of singing ability with singing lessons. However, the struggle and the reality is so far fetched, that it really doesn't make sense to have this as an aspiration.
Accordingly, it would be important to find out just what she would hope to gain or could expect her life to be like as an opera singer. Upon investigation and exploration, it would be discovered that she loves to be on stage, get attention, and perform in some way. Those qualities can be used in many ways besides being an opera singer - and surely would be anchored more in truth.
It is also important that the vision is aligned with your purpose in life. If she wants to make this world a better place by sharing her talents and gifts, then singing would probably not be a wise choice. On the other hand, if she chooses some form of teaching and reaching many people so that she is sharing her ideas and wisdom, she's probably aligned with her purpose. Perhaps some form of public speaking might be more appropriate.
A vision must be exciting and compelling. If not, there is no incentive to take steps towards making it happen. If she chose to have a vision of becoming a nurse and caring for sick people when in fact, she doesn't particularly enjoy being around sick people, it's not going to pull her forward to wanting it to become a reality. In fact, there will most likely be lots of struggle and sabotaging along the way. Could it be a possible vision with truth? "Yes, but..." She could learn nursing and she could care for sick people, and it does align with her vision of sharing talents and gifts, BUT for her, it's not exciting or compelling. Therefore, the chances of her finishing the necessary course work aren't great and even if she did, it would feel more like drudgery.
So in creating a vision, it's important to think about what experience you would like to have. It would be helpful to notice and check if it's anchored in truth - for you. Does it align with your purpose? Is it compelling and exciting to you? Could it pull you forward and be an incentive and is it motivating you to wanting to take steps towards it?
Invitation to Experiment:
Create a vision for your life. Include the type of experiences you want to have - include ALL of the elements possible: such as where you will be living, how you will be living, with whom, what type of work you'll be doing, etc. Don't leave anything out from your dream. Once it's crafted, look at the truth in it. Does it align with your truth? Look at your purpose for being on the planet. Does it align with your purpose? And lastly, is it exciting and compelling? Could it motivate and inspire you to take steps to move towards it? If so, take your first step, and then the next. It may at first seem like a pipe dream, but if it's aligned and compelling enough, it can become reality. You may modify your vision along the way, but all the while, you are moving towards a life that truly fits who you are and what you want.
