How to Change Your Attitude Towards Success!

I recently came across a very fascinating book about success and thought about sharing what I learned with you. I want to provide you some important key elements for you to apply in your daily life and change your attitude and bad habits.
It is a very well-known fact that 95% of people will never get to experience success as they have imagined in their minds. I am very positive you are curious on why this is the case for so many people.
It is all about attitude! To have the right attitude, you need the right mindset. Those who are very successful and belong in the 5% range of millionaires and billionaires, chose to take control of their conscious and unconscious mind in order to attract wealth and success.
Discipline is very important for attitude change. Changing your attitude could start from very small habit changes. For example, organizing your room, reading a book, exercising, doing yoga, walking your dog will give you more discipline and will-power.
Procrastination could be the worst habits to adapt because the side-effect includes laziness.I myself have experiences procrastination and it is one of the worst "fake best friends" for a human mind. To thoroughly remove procrastination, you need to consciously accept the fact that if you don't get this task finished today, you will make yourself more lazy tomorrow. Keep in mind that the more you let your mind be in control of you, the more procrastination you will experience.
Change your attitude towards people. Relationships are very important, thus always be courteous towards others. Remember, the way you treat someone is the way you will get treated back. If you have positive and loving relationships, you will have a better attitude towards life and more opportunities for success will open for you.
When negative thoughts flow to your mind, consciously ignore it and change your thoughts towards positive thinking. The mind could be the persons worst enemy or best friend. To discipline your mind, you need to consciously start thinking optimistically until it become unconscious. One way you can do this is through positive affirmation. Optimism is a must for a better attitude towards becoming successful. A pessimistic person can never be successful because they will adapt the attitude of giving excuses.
Surround yourself with successful people. Be around those who experience life through hard work and positive attitude. This would benefit you because you will start to think and be like them. For instance, if you hang out with criminals, the chances of you starting to act like them is very high. Same concept applies for successful people.

Big, Bold and Crazy!

Let's be honest, most of us don't let the real version of ourselves shine because we're worrying about what others will think. Deep down we're afraid of being judged and not being a part of the group. I think I did enough of this in high school to last me a lifetime, so I don't know about you but I think it's about time we all stopped!
Here's the real deal. Not everyone is going to like you. That is okay. Wouldn't you rather be around people who love and appreciate the real you? To be surrounded by people where you can be your true and real self? This will likely change over the years as you grow and change too. If some people don't resonate with you, that's okay. Love and light to them and move on. You won't find your real tribe until you step into the real version of yourself.
In business, people can sense when you're not being authentic too. When you try to be something you're not, people will see right through this. You can sense this yourself when you're around someone like this. You might not be able to pin point it exactly at first, but you will probably feel like something is a little off.
I've seen this with clients and I've done this myself. Most people act like something they're not because they're afraid. They're afraid of not getting clients. They think they need to act a certain way in order to attract clients. These people usually think they need to work with everyone - another belief that comes from fear.
There is enough abundance for everyone. There are enough clients for everyone. Wouldn't you rather serve the people who you can help the most and who also resonate with the real you? Those who appreciate your uniqueness and what only you have to offer? When you truly step into who you are meant to be, you let go of the need for approval from others. You are confident with yourself and who you are in the world. That and that alone, will help you attract more clients and clients who you love to work with too.
Step into who you really are today and don't hold back. You are magnificent and it's time for you to shine! This is the only way you will live those huge dreams you have for yourself. Be this person and watch the type of clients you start to attract! Yah baby!
P.S. I may still get my hair blown out from time to time, so don't hold it against me. There is something to be said about having your hair done professionally, don't you think? So glamorous

Success - What I Know for Sure

Have you ever wondered why some people fail at everything while others seem to have the Midas touch: everything they touch turns to gold? How many times have you pondered the key to success?
If you stood on a busy street corner and asked the average person the key to success, you will more often than not hear: hard work or luck. Regarding hard work, think on this: How many hard working people do you know? Like most of us, many. Yet, these hard working people struggle from day-to-day to make ends meet. On some level, we all know that while hard work is important, it's only part of the success equation. I can unequivocally say that hard work alone has never brought success. And, when it comes to "luck", I don't believe in lucky breaks. You make your own luck by being prepared and by recognizing and taking advantage of opportunities when and if they show up. Or, you create your own opportunity. Whitney Young, social reformer and civil rights leader, said it best: "It is better to be prepared for an opportunity that never comes than to be unprepared when one does come."
What, then, is the key? While I don't believe there is a specific key, here are five truths about success that... I know for sure.
Know what it looks like. To achieve success, you must have a clear idea of what it looks like. If you don't know what it looks like, it's difficult to achieve or to even know when you have reached it. Success is personal. It means different things to different people. For some, success is money, power, prominence, or importance. For others, it's excellence, meaningful relationships, peace of mind, or meeting specific goals. Only you can describe what your success looks like.
Have a clear intention. Marva Collins, an American educator, once said, "Success doesn't come to you - you go to it." This statement tells me that success starts with an intention. You must "intend" to be successful. You must make a deliberate and conscious effort to be successful and have a hunger and desire to have more, be more, and do more.
Envision the possibilities. See it, picture it, and imagine it. And, keep the picture in your mind's eye - no matter the circumstances or what your own mind or others may say. When negative messages enter into your consciousness, simply respond by saying, "thank you for sharing". And, continue to see the possibilities.
Commit to lifelong learning. The more you know, the more you grow. Become addicted to learning. Keep your mind and your heart open to learning new things - big things and small things. At the end of each day, ask yourself, what did I learn today?
Take action. Success is available to all who want it, believe they deserve it, and are willing to take some definite actions. You must make a conscious effort every day to do something (no matter how small) to move toward your ultimate goal.
Success isn't a rare gift given only to a few. It's a gift that's within everyone's capacity to achieve. Success isn't an accident, it's a choice!

Do Your Words Give You Personal Power And Life Success?

It is without doubt that perhaps the greatest difference between humans and all other life forms on the planet is found in our use of words. In the use of language. This being so, it is noteworthy to realize that the magical power of words is so neglected. By the words you use, you not only influence others, but also yourself, your feelings and your physical body.
But, what are words?
Firstly; words are breath made sound.
Secondly; words are sound symbols we use to depict reality.
Thirdly; words are sound symbols we use to explore abstract concepts such as beauty, esthetics, truth, the nature of creation, and ultimately that of the spirit which in many traditions is called God.
The magical power of words is encoded in our language, in our myths, legends, fairytales and antidotes. As children, we all knew the power of the "magic word" which gave its owner power over his environment. Spells, incantations and prayers, for that matter, play a vital role in the literature of all ancient cultures. Take for example, the first book of Genesis where, in the beginning, there was nothing until God said "Let there be light", and there was light. The sound became a word and the creation of all things was put into motion until physical reality as we know it was manifested. The implication here is clear: Physical reality is the result
of the breath made sound, the sound symbol, or simply the word.
The words you use in your day-to-day life, and how you use them shape your life to a large extent, both externally (dealing with other people) and internally (giving yourself power or taking power away from you). Imagine this: A young man is looking at his ladylove and says "when I look into your eyes all of time stops". He can say the same thing by saying"baby, you got a face that would stop a clock". Although this is a joke, think for a moment of how you express yourself sometimes. Very often, we say things without thinking of the power our words have on others. Not only this, but we oftentimes deny ourselves joy, happiness and success through the words we say to ourselves.
One of the worst things you can say is I'm trying. "I'm trying" is a win-lose proposition. It has defeat built into its structure. We all know people who are trying to stop smoking, or trying to eat less, or trying to exercise more, and it never works because trying is really saying "I can't". Replace "I'm trying" with "I'll do my best". When you do your best, there is no winning or losing, there is only your best. "I'm doing my best to get over my addiction to cigarettes" has much more power than "I'm trying to stop smoking".
Here is an exercise you can do to prove this to yourself. It takes two people. Stand straight with your head facing forward. Raise one arm out to the side (either one) perpendicular to the floor the hand straight out. Your partner puts his hand on your wrist and pushes your hand towards the floor, you push upwards saying out loud "I'm trying, I'm trying"over and over again. Feel the strength in your arm to resist this downward pushing. Now relax and do the same thing again only this time you say "I do my best, I do my best". Feel the strength in your arm to resist the downward pressure. You may repeat this exercise as you wish using any variation you choose, the result will always be the same. You will feel the difference and your
partner will also feel the difference in your strength. I have done this experiment with dozens of people, old, young, male and female and the result has always been the same. Saying "I do my best" makes the body stronger. Saying "I'll try" makes the body weaker.
Now, what can we do with this? It is very simple. Remove things such as "I'm trying", "I can't", "I don't know" from your vocabulary. This is simple, but, not easy. Do this exercise several times until you really have the memory of how what you say influences the amount of energy you allow your body to have. So the next time you are asked to do something new instead of not thinking and saying "I don't know. I'll try" you can think and say " Well I've never done this before but I'll do my best".

Staying Motivated For Long Term Success

How many times have you let pessimistic people stop you from pursuing your dreams? Do you start doubting yourself, and your abilities to make things happen? That negative friend that means well, but always shooting holes in your goals should be avoided. Training yourself to recognize it immediately, making a decision to stay on course, and pursuing your goals with all your might, is what we're after here.
If you continue to let pessimistic people drain every ounce out of your body, you will have only one person to blame: You. Pointing your finger at your spouse, child, job, or anyone (or anything) else is not allowed, nor will it help. The most motivated people in the world keep themselves on a higher level by reading, viewing, and practicing motivational acts. Reading a great book on staying focused and attaining all you want in life is terrific, but you have to keep reading it--and others just like it. Motivation has to become a part of your everyday life. Eat, breath, and live it!
Read about people like Nick Vujici. Born without limbs due to an extremely rare medical condition, he doesn't let that stop him from writing books, speaking to thousands, and even learning to surf. The old saying, "If I can do it, you can do it," certainly comes to mind. A truly remarkable individual, Mr. Vujici made a decision long ago not to let negative people stop him from being successful in life. He stays motivated no matter what!
Michael Jordan is another fine example of someone who would stay motivated at all cost. Did you know that this basketball icon was cut from his high school hoops team? Mr. Jordan decided at that moment, that he would do whatever it took to be successful. I doubt he pointed his finger, and placed blame at everyone except for the only one that could change his predicament: Michael Jordan.
What about yours truly, how do I stay consistently motivated? I think back to a failed business, and how the lack of money made me feel. I had no confidence to speak of. But I decided if things were going to turn around for me, it would take hard work and a giant dose of positivity. I made a list of reasons why I shouldn't quit, and the lives that would be improved if I got back on track. "Start a new business that will be ten times bigger and better than my old one," I told myself. If anyone got in my way, I quickly reminded myself why I was working so hard, and why it was an absolute must to remain motivated. I am now well on the way to achieving that goal.
In summary, your success or failure in life hinges on you, and your ability to keep yourself on track and motivated. Don't allow the negative rhetoric we come into contact each day to dictate how we live our lives. Break this habit today, keep yourself motivated on a regular basis, and watch your dreams take shape!

Turn the Rest of Your Life Into an Adventure of Achievement

I have never met anyone, who does not want to invite more fulfilment and meaning into their experience. So I guess that everyone wants to eat fruit from the tree of success. I have never met anyone, who wants to be left to examine the roots of the tree of success. Where they are left to pick up the scraps left behind by the people, who have put in the daily effort and who have eaten the tree of success.
Yes inviting success takes work and effort, but before you can start to work, you need to plan, prepare and dream. You need to create a vision, which shows you the future finished in advance. Unless you put in the effort to prepare your activities every day, you will just spin your wheels and never achieve much.
Success is not merely hard work. It is orchestrated, planned and focused daily effort. If you want to be successful, you need to ensure that you know where you want to go (vision) and then create a set of goals to support you to get there. Convert these goals into projects and then finally into daily actions, which you perform and measure daily. This way you ensure that your daily effort is not wasted and it is delivering the outcomes you want.
Remain Focused and Work Hard
As you know life is full of setbacks and disappointments and things will not always go according to plan. The secret to becoming successful is to discover what makes you truly content and happy and then to find a way to move your life towards that picture of possibility. This way the daily disciplines required and the effort you will need to put in towards achieving greatness, will become far easier. The uncomfortable will as if by magic become comfortable.
You must Attack Challenges with Gusto
Challenges are an inevitable and an integral part of any success journey. So instead of cowering away from challenges, attack them head on and find ways to mitigate or eliminate them. Accept challenges and even welcome them, because every challenge, you overcome is taking you just one step closer to the success you want. Confronting and overcoming challenges is an exhilarating experience, if you allow. It does something to feed the soul and strengthen the mind. Every challenge you encounter and overcome makes you stronger, more experienced and better equipped to achieve the success you want.
You can become passionate about your success once again
You can only have the drive and determination you need to succeed, if you do not feel strong emotions about success. This can only come from discovering your unique reason why you want to achieve the success you do. Once you have discovered your reason why anything is important to you, you will become inspired from within and will feel driven to succeed. No obstacle or challenge will be too large to overcome. The stronger you feel about anything, the greater will be your drive to succeed and the more intense will be your daily commitment to take goal specific action.
Today's Action Idea: Uncover the picture about where you want your life to go, invite strong feelings into your experience about why you want to achieve your vision and you will have finally uncovered the formula for success. I am certain that you have most of the knowledge, a lot of the experience and even most of the skills you need to become successful. All that may be lacking is clarity of purpose, a plan or blue print to get you there and strong feelings or a reason why to drive your daily actions, which is keeping you trapped in average. You have the chance to design your own life and chisel away every day until you achieve it. What are you waiting for? Make better choices today and dare to turn the rest of your life into an adventure of achievement.

Conceive, Then Achieve, So That You Can Achieve

How can anyone achieve anything of a meaningful nature unless he first has the ability to set and create essential goals, based on a vibrant vision of how he believes things should be? Those that wish to accomplish must have the ability to first conceive of what he'd like to be (also often known as one's vision). However, conceiving goes beyond merely a vision in that it also sees how one would approach getting it done, at least in an overall way. We also need to truly believe that what we conceive of can become a reality, and should become one. Our perceptions are how we look at a set of scenarios or conditions, and often create either a positive or negative mindset and attitude. The objective, obviously, is to achieve our goals in a positive and meaningful manner.
1. Conception is the state or condition when we formulate the initial germ of an idea, and think about the methodologies, approaches, and reasons that these goals are so important. When we conceive of something that will truly positively impact something, it motivates us to persist and persevere despite any possible short - term or temporary roadblocks or obstacles. Every opportunity for personal greatness begins with conceiving of an idea and visualizing how, and why, it is so important and meaningful to do something in a particular manner.
2. If what we conceive of is really meaningful to us (as opposed to merely a passing fancy or mere dream), we will then begin to perceive of ways to shape our own destiny, by the actions and steps that we take. Our perceptions must lead us to a belief that it will become a reality, and that it should. It also must drive our self - belief and drive us to create and implement a fully developed and considered action plan. Dreams without focus and a drive to implement in a meaningful manner, never have a proactive and longer lasting impetus that drives and motivates, while perceptions motivate and create a perseverance that is so essential to accomplishment.
3. Conceiving is nice, perceiving is even better, but neither delivers the needed results unless it creates a level of achievement. These achievements may be immediate (or short - term), but are nearly always more important when they create a longer term addressing of some need, etc. We must always realize that every action we take, as well as every one we avoid, inevitably results is some sort of ramifications.
The most personally fulfilled people are generally those that strive towards achievements, and do so by driving themselves and others forward towards some idea or perception. If you wish to achieve your goals, then it is important to comprehend the meaning and necessities of achievements.

Doubt Kills More Dreams Than Fear

"And so what do you do?" goes the typical question at American gatherings.
"I work at the IRS." That answer left me either suddenly alone as the person quickly vacated the premises to get another drink or engulfed me in a tirade of the ineptitude of the IRS as the person bombarded me with a heated diatribe against government workers.
It's no wonder I left the auditing job. Not my cup of tea and not much fun to talk about. Fast forward to now. I love talking about what I do and people are genuinely interested and intrigued to learn about how I write and how I help others to finish their books. The facial expressions of small talkers morphed from furrowed IRS-anger brows to smiles and eyes lit up with delight.
Mine was a journey of baby steps. Turtle steps and trust. In my Joy Programs (I teach happiness too), I talk about the turtle and how to learn to be comfortable in one's own shell. We all are born comfortable in our skin, but somewhere along the way, we let comparison and self doubt creep in.
Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. We don't fail because we don't outright pursue. We let doubt rule.
Have you ever thought, "I want to write a book"? What stopped you? Some form of doubt.
Have you stopped yourself from taking a trip? Going on a date? Ending a relationship you know isn't right? Taking a class? Hiring a coach? Getting a new hair cut? Going for it, whatever it is?
We let doubt kill our dreams. Not anymore.
Take a baby step. One small step toward your dream. Even if you mess up, you will see that "failure" doesn't kill you and it propels you closer to your goals and dreams. Turtle steps and trust.
I deal a lot with doubt. My job title could be Ultimate Encourager & Uplifter. I teach the nuts and bolts strategies and I delve into the doubts. The result is accomplishment. Forward momentum. Excitement. Completion.
When you are at a party and someone asks what you do, won't it be fun to say, "I am a X and I just got back from the trip of my dreams!" or "I work at X and I just married my soulmate!" or "I do X and I just wrote my first book!"
It's your choice, doubt or joy. What do you want more of in your daily life?
Because of my journey of trust and love, and in honor of my Prince Charming's birthday, and in celebration of 5 years of writing this joy letter, I want to give you encouragement and uplifting, and dispel your doubts.
If you want to brainstorm your project and cast away your doubts and pursue your dream, I am giving a Buy 1 - Get 1 POWER HOUR. Use the scheduler link to grab your first appointment. You can have a chat this month and then another a bit down the road when you are farther along and new questions come up. This offer is good for the first 5 people to book!
Baby steps and trust will take you far.
